About AzACS Membership
As we continue to engage members from across the state, the Arizona Chapter of the American College of Surgeons, has become a strong, relevant force representing both surgeons and surgical practices.
The Chapter's purpose is to promote the aims, interests, ideals and programs of the American College of Surgeons and to serve as a means of communication between the members of the Chapter and the College. To elevate the standards of practice, training and education in surgery and provide a means through which the Fellows may communicate with other professional and civic groups concerned with the improved delivery of health care.
Membership Benefits/Services include:
-
Chapter Communications - Our inaugural newsletter, The Desert Scalpel, was published earlier in 2018, providing news about the Chapter, its activities and members. Email alerts with ongoing activities and meeting notices are forwarded throughout the year, as well as published on the AzACS website and through the ACS Arizona Communities page.
-
Annual Meeting - Every year, the AzACS hosts an outstanding Annual Chapter Symposium usually attended by over 100 participants who enjoy a strong program over the 1 1/2 days of sessions. The meeting offers AMA PRA Category 1 CME credits. The meeting is complemented by a distinguished, nationally known visiting faculty and social gatherings, as well as an exhibit hall of related products and services.
